Kids party season.

Today marks the start of kids party season in our little group, kind of. We have one today (so unprepared for) and then a month gap and then it really gets going.

I’m so unorganised for today, I’ve bought a card but no gift yet.

I watch lots of American women on YouTube and find they always have a gift box for those party’s that come out of nowhere and wondered it people in the UK do that too? Or other countries? I have a box of cards so I know I’m prepared card wise… although I still end up going and buying a new one because I forget!

Pops’ outfit was a long sleeved dress with Peter pan collar from mothercare (which I bought in the sale when I was pregnant) navy tights and her pink h&m Chelsea boots. Her hair was what I could get in the hair bobble as in was running around after her!

We had a great time, a mix of music and a lovely little table of food… we hadn’t had lunch so pops and I pretty much scoffed everything. It was a pretty low key party which is so nice and refreshing. A few toddler meltdowns (I guess you’ll get that putting that many toddlers in one small space) but a very good start to the party season we thought.

We even got a cute little party bag

I can’t be the only one that judges what to put in ours by what other mums do? Not to one up or judge but just to get a sense of how much to put in… I can go abit overboard sometimes.
My only criticism of the bag was that the cake portion was too small for me… oh hold on, it was meant for pops. Makes sense now. 🙊;)

Happy 2nd Birthday Caitlyn, we hope you had an amazing day!

Until the next post,
Are and Pops.

  1. I like to be quite generous with party bags too.. Has to have bubbles, at least 2 or three other novelty toys & usually 3/4 sweet/chocolate options, like candy necklaces & candy watches, and mini sweet bags
